I finally used up the last of this great Kringle paper pad with this Christmas card. It's been one of my all-time favorite Christmas paper pads and I'm sad to see it gone - but on the other hand, it might be one of the only paper pads I've ever used up completely, so that's a good thing!
I used this week's Freshly Made Sketch to put this together. A very thoughtful friend recently sent me that Santa die, so I die-cut it with some red mirror paper as well as white, and then added the last of my liquid applique to the fur sections. I guess I'll have to search for a new place to buy that now since Jo-Anne's stores closed and I always bought the liquid applique there. The die-cut sentiment was also cut from red mirror paper and that die is by Sunny Studios.
This was one of 2 inserts in the paper pad that I used for the inside of the card.
I'm sharing this with the following challenges:
the NBUS Challenge #64 - Never Before Used Schtuff (the Santa Hat)
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a great day!

Happy Christmas in July to you Carol! What a really cute card! That is some gorgeous paper and huge congrats to you on finishing it up! Several more to go, right?! LOL Love the little Santa hat and your take on the sketch is perfect! Well done!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, have a lovely day, take care! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteSuper Christmas card - something very satisfying about being able to use up the whole of a paper pad even if also a bit sad to see it gone. Love the piece you used for an insert ☺
ReplyDeleteLove your card, Carol.
ReplyDeleteThe little Santa hat is adorable.
Have a great weekend!
It's great fun Carol and bright and cheery in the warm reds as well.

This is just so pretty in these colors, Carol! Love the plaids along with your Santa Hat! It's a great feeling when you use up a favorite pack of paper! Great job on the challenge, too!
ReplyDeleteChristmas in July - bogus - doesn't feel anything like Christmas here! So hot! Love the card, good for you actually using up an entire paper pad. I can say I've never done that. Even on the solids. I always end up putting a few pieces in a box and there they stay. Like forever. Sorry about your Joann's store, I think the one north of me is still open, but I've heard a lot of bad things about no employees and being closed when they should be open, so I guess the handwriting is on the wall there. Sad. Happy crafting and stay inside!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty.
ReplyDeleteThis is a Merry Christmas wish in July that makes me wish it were closer to this time of year. Makes me feel a bit cooler in all of this heat. Love the card.
ReplyDeleteLove, Hugs and Blessings

Fun and warm Christmas card Carol, and great take of the sketch! Well done finishing the last snippets from that beautiful pad! I haven't so many pads (I don't use so much patterned paper) but I think I would feel very sad when the last paper of my favourites is gone and I know that it's retired so can't buy another pad!
ReplyDeleteThe Santa's hat with its textured fur looks so well on the the label and the mirror sentiment adds a shining festive feel. Love the funny inside!
Sending you big hugs dear Carol!! Thanks for being a good friend at the other side of the world!!!
What a fantastic Christmas card! Using the last of your favorite Kringle paper pad must have been bittersweet, but you've created something truly special. The red mirror paper and liquid applique on the Santa die-cut add such a festive touch, and the thoughtful inclusion of the paper pad insert inside the card is a lovely detail.
ReplyDeleteOh that hat with the liquid applique is so cute, good for you using up a paper pack :) Love the reindeer card insert too!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your Joanns store, I have been hearing from a few that they are not getting the business like they use to.
