Holiday Treats

With the July 4th celebration just around the corner, I made a couple treat boxes for my friend's grandsons. I bought a container of red, white and blue  gummy bears that I thought would be cute for the occasion, so I made these boxes and filled them with those candies. They were made with Lawn Fawn candy box dies, and I found some remnants of red and blue polka dotted dsp to make them, then added some remnant die-cut elements for 3 sides. One side says "Happy", one side says "July" and the third side says "4th." I added punched stars in assorted colors and tied the ends with some red, white, and blue twine in keeping with the patriotic colors. I think they'll get a kick of out them when the July 4th festivities begin!

I'm sharing these with:

  12. You know how much I love seeing your treats, Carol!!! This just makes me smile! Love, love, love the cracker boxes and how you decorated them! I did not attempt to make any patriotic things this year which I am sad about. I did look at the grocery store for some red, white & blue candies and only found tootsie rolls (blah!) so I passed. Your friend's grandsons will enjoy them and with the gummy bears they won't melt! TFS and wishing you a cool day!

  15. A very thoughtful idea Carol and I am sure the boys will love them.

Thanks for the message about lemon juice, I've also taken it since my last bout in 2019, sadly one of my conditions means I have elevated calcium, hence stones, a 10mm one last time needed five rounds of blasting to break down. Nephroscope not successful so lots of meds for a month then try again!!

The Lawn Fawn candy box dies and the polka dotted DSP give them such a festive look, and the "Happy July 4th" messages along with the punched stars and twine tie everything together beautifully. They're sure to be a hit at the festivities!
