I love this quirky and fun image that just makes me smile. It's called the Oddball Turtle from Stamping Bella and I used this to make a fun birthday card for another slowpoke like myself. I stenciled the background with a GMD bricked stencil on some tan cardstock with a darker brown ink. I stamped the turtle and colored it with Copics, adding a die-cut stitched frame in matching green designer paper. I split the sentiment and backed each piece with matching cardstock and called this one done. At my age, this is how I feel most days LOL
I'll share this with the following challenges:

LOVE that turtle, her (his?) face and your amazing colouring! Great clean design, the choice of the stencilled background and the patterned frame are so appropriate to match the turtle! ReplyDeleteYour Oddball Turtle card is absolutely delightful! The stenciled brick background adds a nice touch, and the coloring on the turtle is fantastic. It's clear that a lot of love and creativity went into this fun birthday card. And your sentiment about feeling like a slowpoke most days is both relatable and charming!

What a great fun card. Wonderful colouring and a fab sentiment. Thanks for sharing with us at We Love Stamping.
ReplyDeleteThis is an adorable image...and you colored it so beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThis card fits how it has felt for some time now. When we are young, speed is everything. When we are middle aged speed is OK but who cares. When we get old we wish things would slow down more. Love this card.
ReplyDeleteLove, Hugs and Blessings
