I found this older Penny Black stamped image in my stash and pulled it out to make an Easter card. I colored the image with Copics, adding white gen pen accents to the flowers and some fluff to his tail with liquid applique. The sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps and the basket weave embossing folder is from SU!. I added 3 tiny lavender gemstones for the finishing touch.
I will share this card with these challenges:
The Sisterhood of Crafters March 27th - Bunnies or Chicks
A/G with an optional "Easter" theme
The Allsorts Challenge # week 773/4 - keep it simple or A/G
(I hardly ever make anything simple, so it's A/G)
Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge - A/G using an embossing folder
with an optional twist of "birds"
Here in PA it's yet another rainy day, but I wish you some warm sunshine wherever you live. Make it a great day whether it's rain or shine.
Thanks for stopping by,
Carol

Some of the older PB's are among my favs, nothing beats a piece of wood for stamping. I've been trying to revisit some of mine that are long neglected.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet with his Red Tulips, perfect for Allsorts current theme, many thanks for joining in.

Also here rain (and a strong wind). It seems it will not change before the 2nd of April. We will see.
ReplyDeleteThis cute bunny has a funny face and love how you made fluffy his tail! Beautiful colouring, love especially the dimensional look of the tulips! Purple and lavender work so well together and the basket weave EF has been a great choice to add texture, you always have a very good eye for adding details without making your cards too much busy! (I don't :D LOL)
Sending my wishes for sunny days ahead dear friend! Enjoy your day! Have a peaceful and joyous Easter! Big hugs!!
Wet and windy here too, but thanks for the good wishes . . . heartily reciprocated.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely transformation of this Penny Black stamped image into an Easter masterpiece! The coloring with Copics brings out the vibrant hues, and the added details like the white gel pen accents and liquid applique on the tail give it a delightful texture. The basket weave embossing folder adds a charming background, and the tiny lavender gemstones provide a perfect finishing touch to the card. Great job!
