I dug deep into my paper stash and found these snippets of some long-retired SU! papers and made a sympathy card with them. I guess you could say I've hoarded them, but I thought these pretty colors and patterns would work for a sympathy card which I needed to make. The butterfly is an unbranded die that a friend gave to me years ago, and I used a MFT notched border die which was also a gift from a friend years ago that I use quite often. The sentiment is SU! teeny tiny wishes (r) and I added 3 diamond gems to the butterfly to finish it.

I think your butterfly is very fitting for this sympathy card and a wonderful addition to that pretty paper. This is going in to my favorites folder for a case in the future. Just love it! These paper snippets are really perfect together and your Sympathy card looks so sweet and elegant! It's always a satisfaction when hoarded things come in hand at the right moment and bring us an inspiration, isn't it? Those tiny gems on the butterfly body are a precious touch! Love the beautiful neutral colour for the notched border, the butterfly and the sentiment mat, you founded really a perfect match with the patterned papers!!

ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how we buy paper we love, then don't want to use it because it's so pretty! I can see why you saved it though, it is lovely and made a beautiful card. Blue and beige is a wonderful color combination and blue is my favorite color.
