Masculine Birthday

Here's a quick and fun birthday card I made using an embossing folder with tiny stars, a SNSS scalloped star border die and 2 different star punches. The background is dark brown and I used Crumb Cake, Kraft, and remnants of light blue cardstock for the stars and border. The SNSS sentiment was heat-embossed with white on dark brown and the tiny red stars were negatives from a SSS star border die. I think this will be a great masculine birthday card when the occasion calls for one.

I'm sharing this with the Craft Rocket challenge #72- for the men/boys

Make My Monday challenge #126 - stars and/or stripes

Seize the Birthday #194 - red, white and blue
(Hope the light blue color is OK )

We're still sweltering here in PA but it could be so much worse, so I won't complain. I'm beyond grateful for our old a/c unit that continues working even at it's older age! (fingers crossed)

Thanks for the visit and I hope you are comfortable where you are! Take care and stay well!

  6. I love blue mixed with Brown, my favourite colour combination when I used to scrapbook so yes definitely a great masculine card as are stars. I love your array of different size stars in varying colours and the sentiment has a retro feel... urgh, we have rain... the UK weather really is pants! x

I've been staying in the pool a lot, only thing besides ac that beats the heat. Old doesn't mean bad Carol, old mean built to last! lol Stay cool my friend. Hugs, Brenda

  11. Great colour combination and embossing, makes a wonderful masculine card Carol. At the moment I would swap your warm/hot weather, we have had the heating on in the evenings a few times this week, definitely not Summer in July here in Wales.
    Take care

  14. Really cool design here Carol! I don't know what it is about stars that attract me so much, but I love all of the star themed designs I see and I have many star products, but hardly get them out to play with! Love that you've even put stars on each of the scallops! Nicely done my friend! HUGS
