I made this Valentine's Day card over the weekend while playing with some glossy paper and Distress Oxide Inks. I inked a couple pieces of paper with these colors and then used one piece for the card front, and another piece for the stitched die-cut heart which was placed on a white doily. The sentiment(s) are from an old Inkadinkado stamp set and the tiny turquoise heart was cut with a smaller stitched heart die. For the final touch I added some heart sequins along with some randomly placed clear gemstones.
I'm sharing this with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge which is "anything goes."

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your Super Bowl experience was a fun one. I know my husband is happy this morning - he's been an Eagles fan for a looooong time!
Have a great Monday and make the most of the "sick day" if you didn't make it to work today! *wink*

ReplyDeleteAnother beauty! Love the background you created and the use of the heart doily. I finally played with my oxide inks the other day. Love how you can spritz them with water! Definitely need to get a few more colors.
ReplyDeleteWay to dig into your stash for the Valentine sentiments. That is one thing I am lacking in. The Oxide backgrounds you created are just gorgeous. The heart doily really makes everything pop!

Wow Carol, I love this inky background! I am assuming (maybe I missed reading how to do) that you smooshed the inks on your glossy cardstock, it sure is stunning! I love the hearts as well, just so cool! Hugs, Brenda
