I've been having fun with my long-overlooked SNSS grunge borders stamp set that includes a wooden plank, so I stamped a few more kraft card bases to make Christmas cards. For this one, the wooden background was stamped with a lot of different earthy colored inks to look weathered. I added a hand-cut banner of Cherry Cobbler, with a MFT stitched die-cut panel of vanilla on top. The stag is a die-cut image from Kaisercraft done in Early Espresso card stock. The holly was done with a Poppystamps Stitched holly leaves and berries die set and some green snippets of cardstock. I added a few drops of liquid pearls for the berries and added a Sunny Studio "merry" die cut sentiment, done with mirror gold cardstock. I'll be making several more of these for our male friends this Christmas for sure!
I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

Behold the mighty stag! He is quite majestic on his great wooden background! Nice work, Carol!
ReplyDeleteThat wood plank stamp is very cool. It gives such a rustic and realistic look. Stag heads make me smile no matter what, but the set I have really makes me giggle. It comes with the greeting "nice rack." Ha!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this! I'm a huge deer fan and I adore your pairing with the wood grain background. Awesome design! Hugs, Autumn
ReplyDeleteA great card Carol. It would make a lovely male birthday card too minus the holly. I love the stag's head die and the woodgrain background looks super. Barbxx
