Father's Day Card

Every father's day I make my husband a card with a horse image on it, because he had a pony as a boy, and later we owned a couple horses when we first got married. This year I used an inkadinkado image, stamping him in dark brown ink on a vanilla panel. I embossed the kraft background with a Darice horseshoe ef and then darkened the horseshoes with a Copic marker. I used a SU! teeny tiny wishes father's day stamp; inked with Versafine ink, then heat-embossed with white ep on an early espresso cardstock panel. I added some brown and white twine, die-cut the card base and both panels with Lil Inker stitched rectangles, and added an old SU! hodgepodge hardware square clip to the side  for a fun masculine accent.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

Thanks for checking in today and have a great Tuesday!

  10. Beautiful card Carol! I LOVE that embossing folder and have never seen it before, will be searching for that one right away. I will go nicely with my Serendipity Horse stamp. That's neat that you make him a horse card every year. Wonder if I have any stamps that you don't? Think I have a TAC (The former Angel Company)set too besides my Serendipity one?

  13. What a great masculine Father's Day card Carol!!! How fun that hubby had horses when little and you guys did when first married as well. I love horses, although they do intimidate me a bit by their size, but I know a lot can be gentle giants. They are beautiful creatures indeed and I think hubby will love his Father's Day card. Hugs, Brenda
