This may be the mother of all snippet cards I've ever made. The background was made with squares of Lawn Fawn plaid papers and strips of assorted cardstock to make a colorful statement! After it was finished it reminded me of an old quilt which is how it came to be a mother's day card. After adhering the snippets onto a piece of black cardstock, I embossed the whole thing with a Sizzix plaid embossing folder. I added a SSS "Happy" die cut, along with an Anna Griffin Mother's Day die cut, and placed it all on a black card base. I added a few random tiny colored gemstones to add some feminine touches since there are no flowers on this one. Click the photo to enlarge and you'll be able to see the gems better.
I'm sharing this with the following challenges :
Pixies Snippets playground weeks #277 & 278 - must use snippets
Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #3 - Outstanding Occasions (Mother's Day)
Thanks for checking in and I hope your weekend is a total blast!

This is a fun, pretty Mother's Day card. You did a great job of using up some snippets. We are still having some dreary weather, but are hoping for some sun tomorrow. Have a good weekend.

You has been so clever to use the plaid embossing folder to give texture to your own plaid patchwork of sraps!! Such amazing look have this colourful card! It's very happy and the black and white diecut sentiment give it more brightness! Lovely touch with the tiny gems, too, a fab and feminine Mother's day card!
