Today I have a birthday card with a Penny Black rose image that I stamped with Melon Mambo, then colored over it with Copic markers. After coloring, I covered the entire panel with Versamark ink, then heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder to make the colors pop. It was die cut with a GinaMarieDesigns stitched oval, then matted with a black SB scalloped oval. The background was done with a WeRMemoryKeepers 3D Gemstone next level embossing folder with some pastel pink cardstock. The sentiment panel was done with a TE stamp - heat-embossed with white and hand-cut into a tag, then attached with a small white mini brad. The butterflies were done with a retired SU! butterfly sizzlet and 3 tiny pink gemstones were added for the final touch.
I'm sharing this with the following challenges:
The Shopping our Stash Challenge #299 - Use a rose
The Use Your Stuff challenge #260 - use eyelets or brads
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have yourself a wonderful Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteWow, it's a fabulous card with this stunning background and the lovely rose really pops out with its fabulous colour! A so feminine creation! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool looking rose. I'm sure the over-coloring layer has something to do with that. Did you even stamp the leaves in melon first? They look so deep green without a hint of pink. That background folder sure is a keeper too. It all goes together so well.
ReplyDeleteThat textured e/f looks cool with your beautiful rose, Carol! You rocked the sketch!! Hugs, Darnell
