Easter Bunny

Here's my entry for the Tuesday Morning Sketch #393 using a Lil Inker stitched Bunny die and some smoky slate cardstock. I'm also entering this into the Double D Challenges - to think spring. I dotted the cardstock with several grey Copics trying to make it look like fur - but it just looks stained to me as if I splashed something on it! LOL I need to find a tutorial for creating fur with Copics and if I look, I'm sure I'll find something in my overflowing Pinterest boards that will teach me how to do that!
I paired the grey and white with some pastel green cardstock from Bazzill (A Tuesday Morning find) and added a couple of GinaMarieDesigns stitched ovals. The embossed panel was done with a Darice basketweave ef, and the sentiment tags were hand-cut and stamped with SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes. The corner was done with my Quickutz and I added some pale green gemstones there, as well as on the bunny's bow. I added a black gemstone for his eye and some liquid applique for his cute little bunny tail, hitting it with a heat gun after it dried to puff it up.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope your Wednesday is a great one. Here in PA we're bracing for the white stuff again tomorrow and over the weekend. This has been a crazy year weatherwise!

I've seen the cotton balls for a tail but not the liquid applique and I love that! Great idea Carol.
Fun and cute card and we're going to call that fur since that's what it looks like to me. Cute little bow around his neck too.

This is so very lovely, Carol! I'm not sure if I'm doing Easter cards this year, but I am pinning this design for using with other images cuz I have that e/f and just love how it looks with the stitched oval dies!! Hugs, Darnell

Adorable design for this little bunny with the corner, the little banners and that embossing on the back! Fur is so difficult to colour (...ALL is difficult to colour with markers, for me...!)

Very pretty Easter card. Love that cute bunny and I think you did a fine job on the fur. The basket weave is a great backdrop for your image. Love those gems on the top corner treatment. We are getting your snow Friday and then again maybe next Tuesday, which they say could be a Nor-easter.
Well stay warm and safe.

Love that embossed basket weave background with this sweet little bunny. The way you've done the upper corner treatment added such interest, as at first I thought you'd done a fancy corner cut! And your furry spots look fine to me. One thing you can try is to get the copic surface quite wet, then use fabric to make a pattern (like a piece of an old sweater, etc). But personally, I don't think your fur looks spotted, just textured! Being honest too. TFS

OMGosh, I love this card!!! It is simple, but elegant and so CAS! Loving that embossing folder-will have to look for that one. The bunny is adorable and I love it layered on the stitched ovals. Love the way you did your sentiment as well and I love the soft green you used and I think that one corner photo tab looks great with the soft green gems. Just a beautiful, serene Easter card!
