Masculine Christmas

Today I have 2 Christmas cards to add to my stash. I used a Kaisercraft deer die that was cut with kraft cardstock. I mounted it onto very vanilla, then solid green and finally a larger gold mirror oval - each cut with GinaMarieDesigns stitched oval dies. I placed it onto a piece of retired SU! heavy dsp and placed it all on a very vanilla card base. The tiny SU! sentiment was done with versafine onyx black right on the deer because there was no other place for a sentiment.

I'm sharing this with Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge CHNC 321 which is anything goes as long as it's Christmas, with an optional theme of "something green."

I always try to make 2 versions of cards to build up my stash, so here's another made with some LilyBeeDesign "Jingle" dsp with a slightly different design from the card above. I found a piece of long-forgotten cork dsp and layered the black silhouette on that before matting with dark green. I heat-embossed the white sentiment for a little contrast and placed this on a dark green card base.

Thanks for checking in today and I hope your week will be a great one!

  1. I just love both versions, Carol. That gold really pops on the top card, and the pattern paper is just the second. Very pleasing to the eye.

  3. Oh now I like that deer die cut a lot!! Your helping add to my crafty habit! I have those Darcie Daisy stem dies on the way from Amazon after seeing you gorgeous card with them. I really like the deer done in black and that's a fun way to do the sentiment too.
