My husband and I no longer exchange Christmas gifts other than gift cards or cash. This year I decided to get him some lottery tickets because they're more fun than plain cash. I used a bank money envelope for the template, tearing it apart carefully, and adjusting the width and length a wee bit to accommodate the size of the tickets. I used a piece of SU! dsp, and added a few Lawn Fawn stitched snowflakes in vanilla cardstock, along with a KaiserCraft Merry Christmas die-cut sentiment. This envelope opens at the top, just like a money envelope does. It's plain and simple - just the way my husband likes it.
I'm sharing this with the Simon Says Wednesday challenge which is "Gift it."
Thanks for checking in and have yourself a wonderful Tuesday!

ReplyDeleteA nice idea for give vouchers and gift cards. Makes it special. My present for Christmas from Hubby was he paid for my unexpected dentist trip last week. Who says romance is dead! Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic idea, Carol! The white really pops on the red print!
ReplyDeleteI really love this idea, Carol! That dsp looks amazing and I love the diecuts you used on this! I hear more & more people giving lottery tickets as gifts! If I remember correctly, I think SU at one time had a Sizzix die that made an envelope almost like this and I sure wish I had it! I'm gonna have to research that! Haha! TFS and I hope you have a great day!!!
ReplyDeleteI like that speckled background with the white greeting and snowflakes. Lotto tickets are a fun gift because they have a bit more element of surprise to them. This is a fun idea.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice way to package the tickets, I think he will have fun with that gift!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea for Christmas! I have given these away in the past and they seem to be so much fun for everyone!! :) Love those snowflakes!
ReplyDeletePretty card! Jim and I have had years where we didn't exchange anything. This year it was supposed to be one gift...However, Hubby gave me a nice gift card...(For a craft store...where else? smile)
