Today I have a card which was paper-pieced with snippets of retired SU! dsp. I used a Woodware stamp, adding color around the frame and dots with a green Copic. I stamped the image again on some green and red dsp and fussy cut those elements to add them to the number 25 and the holly leaves. The berries were done with a Poppystamps holly and berries die set. The card base was cut with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle.
I'm sharing this with the Double D challenge which is "traditional Christmas colors of red, green and white - gold is optional.

ReplyDeleteI think you are the queen of paper piecing and this card certainly shows that, I love working with the older retired stamps from SU!. I don't even remember this one so it was very nice to see this new-to-me stamp. Great card. Enjoy the day.

Beautiful paper piecing, Carol!! It's a technique that I always forget to try. Your CAS looks great with the green dots matching the frame, and love the holly with it's stitched berries!

Oh my! Those holly leaves look so cool with the patterned paper. Well, so does the 25 and the card as a whole but those hollies really caught my eye.
