Christmas Poinsettias

I've had this Northwoods stamp for a long time, so I dug it out of the stash and  made a Christmas card with it. I colored the poinsettias with green Copics, adding some pastel blue Copic color to highlight the image as well. I dotted the flowers with Christmas red stickles and added some silver stickles to the blue ribbon...

The final touch was to add a stamped sentiment on the bottom (crooked no less) but after all that work, I'm using this card - crooked sentiment and all :) I matted the image with black and adhered it to a celery green card base which perfectly matches the poinsettia leaves.

I'm sharing this with the Jingle Belles Mele Kalikimaka challenge - which is to use flowers on your Christmas card.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful weekend!

  3. Northwoods has wonderful details, just like some of the old PSX stamps did. This is totally lovely, Carol! How pretty that you did the white (sort of) version of the Poinsettias. <3

  11. Just gorgeous, Carol. The sentiment doesn't look crooked to me. I have messed up so many card stamping sentiments that sometime (if I remember) I stamp the sentiment before I put all that work into coloring. Have a fun Sunday.

  12. NW is one of my fav stamp companies as their stamps are so beautifully detailed, have images that I like, and always stamp out well. I really like your choice of colors on these poinsettia leaves, and you've captured the 'white color' perfectly, with the subtle veins of the green. Looks gorgeous with the blue sparkle of the ribbon and that wonderful red pot! Well DONE, indeed! TFS & Hugs
