Plaid Christmas

I found a challenge to use plaid, and since I didn't have any plaid dsp, I made my own. I took a piece of white cardstock, and used a ruler to draw lines with Copics, markers, glitter pens and a gold paint pen. I used traditional Christmas green and red colors and added a scalloped border done with a SU! punch. I heat-embossed the SU! Wonderful Year sentiment, along with the mat, punched mini Christmas trees, and added a strip of gold-embossed cardstock to the right of the plaid panel.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you're doing.

  1. This is extra special that you created your own plaid. You did a really nice job with that, I would buy that paper in a pack! The gold sentiment and framing is very nice, too.

  5. Wow, your own dp it's just perfect! Very well done!! Love the colours you choose for it, very appropriate for Christmas! And such a brilliant idea put a border and a stripe on the edges of the panel, they give harmony to all the card! The beatiful golden embossing on the mat and the sentiment match very well with the gold of the stripe and those little trees. Another great inspiration from you! :)
