Got Mud?


I was using up some leftover designer paper strips to make backgrounds, when I decided to let this little Penny Black sheep in boots play in the mud. I made a herringbone panel from strips of plum colored papers, then embossed it with a Cuttlebug geometric rings embossing folder. The image was colored with Copics, and I added some glossy accents to the boots. The sentiment is from Unity. I made this during the rainy days we had all last week - I guess the weather just put my mind into mud puddle mode :)

I'm taking this over to the Penny Black Saturday challenge for May which is "masculine."

    Love your embossed herringbone panels, and this looks great with these colours! The sheep is a cutie and with these purple boots make me smile! :)

    What a fun and cute card! Love that little sheep and his fur. The boots on too cute. Great background with the herringbone too! Fantastic.
    Heard y'all have been getting a lot of rain up there. Guess everyone is going to need those boots if it doesn't stop soon.

    Goodness me, I've missed a ton of amazing cards from you Carol! I have looked at them all and I am wowed. I'm to far behind to comment on each one, but rest assured I have looked at them all. This little card is just adorable. Love that little sheep with his boots and you are right, this is perfect for the weather we have been having here in PA!!! I'm sick of the dark, dreary days.     LOL!! This is just too stinkin' cute Carol!! Really love the boots on the sheep!! :) The stripes for the background is such a brilliant idea for those scraps of papers left over...why don't I think to do something like this?!! Great inspiration! HUGS

    Oh this sheep is just too funny. Of course I'm loving his wonderful pieced background quilt too! You combine patterns and colors so well. Looks great & the comment was delightful with the expression on this fella's face. TFS

    Oh no! A muddy sheep! Can you imagine the mess that makes? Great card though, love the texture and the richly colored background. That makes up for the mud.
