Christmas in May

It's the 25th of the month which means it's time for the May Rudolph Days Christmas card challenge. I've been trying to use up my leftover pieces of dsp, so I made this starburst design with assorted red and green papers. The gold embossed sentiment was done with a Northwoods stamp, and the circles were die cut with Gina Marie stitched circle dies. I used Poppystamps stitched holly leaves and berries dies for the sentiment circle accents.

Here's a different starburst design I came up with that uses retired SU! designer papers as well...

The Lawn Fawn stitched snowflake was done with silver mirror card as well as the Cottage Cutz die-cut sentiment.

I made a 3rd card using more snippets...

This one is done in shades of blue/teal, using MFT stitched dies to make the background. I used a SB scalloped circle die to mat the sentiment panel and added Lawn Fawn stitched snowflakes with white and silver mini button brads.

I have 3 more added to my Christmas stash, but I still have many many more to make!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy this beautiful day!

Carol

  4. Each one just stunning. I think I'm starting to like blue and silver better than the traditional colors for Christmas. I also like the burgundy colors better too. Don't know if it's because I lived so long that I have seen so much bright red and green or my likes have just changed with the times. In any case you have made these cards that are super pleasing to my "old" eyes. LOL Hope you are taking it easy in this heat. Jack already has had the a/c on for the past couple of days. Enjoy the evening.
