I Give a Hoot

I tried to make an all-brown card for the MFP Stamp Shop challenge #9, but I think this poor little owl gets lost in all the brown colors! I stamped the MFP "Owls" image on vanilla cardstock and colored it with Copics, then embossed the whole piece with clear EP and fussy cut it. I added a MB Woodland Branch die cut in kraft and perched this feathered friend on it. The background is a Tim Holtz ef which was cut from kraft and sponged with chocolate chip ink. The sentiment is also from the MFP stamp set "Owls."

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Carol

  3. I think the background looks just like wood with the Kraft card and the ink color you picked. Very neat! The owl is adorable!

  4. OMGoodness, this is absolutely adorable! It really caught my eye as I scrolled through my blogs. I don't think the owl gets lost at all - but actually he probably would want to camouflage himself with the tree anyway - I love this card! Gorgeous embossed background too!

  5. Oh! no he's not lost, he's doing an owl thing and merging into the tree, however we STILL see him on his little branch, I think the wood embossing is great on this fabulous card and I love the whole effect.

  14. Your owl does get somewhat lost in all the brown but that's how owls really are--they sort of blend in with their surroundings. Cute card with great texture.
