Hexagon Fun

I saw a card on Pinterest that looked like it was made from hexagons, so I decided to see if I could duplicate it. I used dsp from Lawn Fawn's Polka in the Dark in alternating patterns of green, and punched 6 hexagons with a SU! hexagon punch. I folded 2 sides in to create each section, and adhered each piece onto another punched hexagon for stability. I die cut 2 Lawn Fawn stitched snowflakes from some gold embossed cardstock, adding them to the medallion and SU! gold embossed sentiment panel. I used a SU! softly fallen ef for the background and punched the horizontal border with a dotted scallop punch. The final touch was adding some red bling randomly.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

Rudolph Days January 2016 - make a Christmas card
Tuesday Throwdown TT278 - anything goes
Snippets Playground #213 - always use snippets

Thanks for spending a few minutes of your day with me - and make it a great day whatever you do!

  6. Wow this is gorgeous, Carol. I was thinking I'd like to CASE it but not sure I can do it. I will give it a good try though. Your papers make it so nice to view and your little snowflakes, gems and that double font sentiment all came together perfectly. Enjoy your day.

  12. I don't think there is anything you can't do in card design, Carol! You have a real talent for transferring what you see to your fingers and the result is dynamite!! The hexagon snowflake and perfect patterned paper and freshly fallen snow came together so fabulously!! Hugs, Darnell
