Happy Veteran's Day

Today is a special day set aside to honor those who served our country with military service. My dad and uncle both served in the Navy, so I honor them today - along with all the other uniformed men and women who helped (and continue to make) to make our country what it is today.

It's also a special day for me as it's my mother's birthday. She would have been 92 today.

Remember to thank your veterans today, because without them we wouldn't be able to enjoy life as we know it.

Thank you for your service.

Carol

  3. Thank you Carol, for this heartfelt tribute and an awesome flag. Happy Birthday to your sweet Mom, and thanks to your family servicemen as well. Those were the days when young men wanted to do 'their bit', and we as those who benefit from their sacrifice, should never forget we owe our current freedoms to them. Too many youngsters today, don't respect that - sad to say. We always try to say 'thank you' when we see a fella wearing some insignia that denotes military service. (I say Fella, because I don't think I've seen any females, but perhaps because they don't wear ball caps!)
