Dasher


Every year I dig out this SU! Dasher stamp and make a few Christmas cards with it because I love the image. I stamped him with Versamark and heat-embossed the image with gold, drawing a line around the SB labels eighteen die with a gold paint pen before cutting. Washi tape created the diagonal stripes on the lower corner and the sequin trim is by SU! It was hard to get a good photo with the sunlight reflecting onto the sequins, but they're solid gold.

    I love Dasher. He might be one SU stamp I still own. Love how you've embossed him and drawn the line around the SB die. Even with the die to guide me, I couldn't get that non-wiggly. :)

    No matter how many new stamps there are in this world, this is still one of my very favorite ones. I love all the gold on here and know those sequins sparkle! Beautiful.

    Oh, thanks for this trick, Carol: "drawing a line around the SB labels eighteen die with a gold paint pen before cutting". I haven't made this, it's a lovely and quick technique to add interest to a diecut shape. Your card is a very beautiful CAS, the deer is so elegant and the sequin stripe looks great. Well done!

    Love this image too! I've either got this guy or one similar, and his graceful & don't care pose, just make me smile. And he's got such an elegant stance too! My kinda Deer! Love the gold washi...pretty patterns. And I'm awed by the evenness of that gold line trim in the S/B die cut. Great card! TFS & Hugs

    Good take on the sketch. So much gold loveliness in this card. I'm not sure I still have Dasher. I love what people do with him but mine never stamped well.
