I love a good sketch challenge to kick-start my mojo, and I recently discovered that Leslie Hanna has launched her own sketch challenge - Crooked Stamper Sketch Challenge CSSC #1. I had to play along after spotting her simple sketch! I'm using a SU! image, colored with Copics and cut with a note tag punch, then popped up on a Lil Inker stitched rectangle die. The yellow edges were embossed with a Hero Arts/Sizzix chevron ef, and all the papers are from the Authentique Summer Seasons paper pad. The snippets of ribbon came from my stash and this card was done! I know these aren't your typical Valentine colors, but they matched the fox colors so well, I just went with it! Different strokes for different folks I always say :)

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful weekend!
Carol
What an adorable fox! I love the colors of your card and your take on the sketch. Thank you so much for playing my first challenge!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that fox and your card!
ReplyDeleteI agree about the different strokes idea. I go with that idea, at times, too. :-)
Gorgeous card carol
ReplyDeleteGood for you, finding a new sketch! That little foxy is so sweet, and I do not remember it from SU! Totally adorable! I must get some of those stitched shape dies. Looks like one of those go to items.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love the background paper you used on here and the little fox is a cutie. Love it!

Totally adorable! Love your papers!
ReplyDeleteSo cute card and adorable little fox! Love these colours combo!
ReplyDeletePretty, Carol, great job with the sketch!
ReplyDeleteI don't see why we have to stick with traditional colors for any occasion or holiday. I, for one, love that you used the colors you did. They do help to bring out that cute little fox. Great paper and I love the embossing along the edges of your card. Total winner. Her comes some more snow our way for the next few days. Hope some of it skips you, but I'm not counting on that. Be careful.
ReplyDeleteWho says Valentine or any holiday has to follow the traditional colors?? I love these colors, they are fabulous and I just love that cute fox! Fox are so in right now!! lol Love, love, love this one Carol. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteYour Mo-Jo is definitely in residence! Love this cute foxy critter on this tiny tag. Great colors and how you always manage to have 'just THE right' dp never ceases to amaze me. Love the use of that EF too, so pretty with the hexagon patterns. NOt traditional colors, but very cheeky & cheery and just perfect for Foxy. He wouldn't be right done up in reds or pinks. He's not that kind of guy! Cute! TFS & Hope you're not getting any of that white stuff. Hugs
ReplyDeleteA really beautiful card, love your colours as well as the beautiful image...

This is adorable Carol! What a cute image.
ReplyDeleteOh now that's just too freaking cute!!
ReplyDeleteVD doesn't have to always be red and pink. This is a sweet card and I love the non-traditional colors.
ReplyDeleteI need to keep this challenge in mind! I guess that means I have to craft to join. I didn't craft this weekend, didn't feel like it and didn't miss it.
