Christmas Tag

Here's a tag I made for Christmas from leftover snippets of SU! dsp and cardstock. The deer is from the Memory Box Deer trio die, and I added a little color to the antlers and hooves with Copics. The "tree" was done with vanilla cardstock and a Martha Stewart fern punch. I added a punched border done with a Martha Stewart Skylands Snowflake punch in vanilla, and added a narrow strip of chocolate chip cardstock to the lower edge. The sentiment is from SU! and the round opening at the top was done with SU! punches. The tag itself was cut from an old manila file folder that I no longer needed. The burlap and vanilla twine are from my stash.

I'm entering this tag into the following challenges:

Snippets Playground #151 - use any snippets
Tuesday Throwdown #222 - Christmas tags
ScrapyLand #6 - use any die that ScrapyLand sells and add texture
                          (Memory Box Deer Trio, and the added texture is the tree)

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful day ahead.

Carol

  1. Carol, another tag that is as nice as any gifts. It IS the gift. Love everything about it. MS Ferns is one of my favorite punches and you always put it to very good use. I like the little brown strip, it just adds that something special. I made a card last night with a tiny strip just like that. I'm going to post it today for W2SB challenge. Enjoy your day. Alli is coming home Saturday so I'm cooking up some of her favorites today.

  12. I cruised here tonight to check on a PTI die you used recently and am blown away by the beautiful use of the elements on this gorgeous tag. Love the deer, the border die trim and those sprigs on the right. Loads of texture and the red scallop detail is lovely with the neutrals of the other elements. Perfectly wonderful Snippets piece. You can expect me to CAS this one!!! (still looking for that angle die you used recently). Off I go. Hugs & TFS

  14. Hi, Carol! What a fabulous tag design! I LOVE it! Wonderful textures, but it is your overall use of design elements which has captivated me. I've pinned your beauty, so I can case it later on. GORGEOUS! Thanks for playing in the Scrapy Land Challenge using die cuts! I hope to see more of your pretty projects in the next challenge, too! hugs and blessings, de {Creative Smiles}
