Thankful

Here's a card I made for the Unity September "be inspired" challenge - "today I am thankful for...." I followed the sketch, and was also inspired by the leaves and beautiful colors of autumn shown on the photo below.
I used a Unity leaf stamp, and randomly stamped it on an off-white panel of cardstock with raspberry, cocoa, orange, green and yellow inks. Then I colored the stamp with these colors, and stamped it on a piece of cardstock, heat-embossed it with clear detail, fussy cut it, and popped it up on foam tape. The embossing turned the green colors nearly black, but I like the aged look. I layered it with an embossed pair of acorns done with a SB die, and tied them together with gold cord. The sentiment is also Unity, and I cut the curve to coordinate with the upper panel. The raspberry panel was embossed with a Darice fall leaf background ef. I added some matching gem stones to the sentiment panel to finish the card.

I'm also entering this into the Unity Friends with Flair challenge today.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great last-days-of-summer weekend!

Carol
