A Soldier

Here's my card for the Simon Says Stamp "Make your own Background" challenge. I used a retired SU! image, stamping on some rustic cream cardstock and coloring with Copics. The kraft panel was first stamped with a background stamp in basic grey. I didn't like how it turned out, so I decided to emboss it with a SU! square lattice ef. I still wasn't happy with the look so I embossed the flip side with a Darice bricked wall ef, and finally I had something I liked. I sponged it with sand beige ink and randomly used an antique linen distress marker to age it a little bit more. I matted with some navy card stock, and this will go to one of our heroes in my next box going to OWH.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!
