Winning Supplies!

Here's my card for the Unity FWF. I used a Unity sentiment stamp from a prize package I won from Gaylynn here that just arrived late yesterday. As soon as I found this "Santa! I know him!" sentiment stamp, I knew exactly what I wanted to make with it! The Santa legs sticking out of the chimney were done with a Darice ef that I won here from my blogging buddy Benzi! I embossed the image on white cardstock, fussy cut it, and then colored the bricks with water color pencils and a wet paint brush. I used Copics to color Santa's legs and boots, and added some liquid applique for "snow." The paper is Winter Wishes from Echo Park, and I added a snowflake brad just for fun.

Thanks Brenda and Gaylynn for the stamping goodies used to make this card!!

That's it for me today, but thanks for stopping by, and for those who celebrate Labor Day, I wish you a wonderful extended holiday weekend! I can't believe the official summer season is drawing to a close already! It seems like it just began yesterday!

  23. Super card as always Carol - very clever.

Swiss darning is easy peasy - you know how you have the front of a garment that's been knitted with purl and plain? Once it's all done, have the front which is all V shapes towards you and then just stitch over the V's using a pattern/diagram. Simples really - I don't do difficult
