A friend asked me to make a birthday card with a beach theme and include flip-flops, so when I saw the "all about summer" HMFMC174 challenge, this card quickly came together. I used the "beach bums" image, coloring it with Copics. I stamped some flip-flops and a beach ball with some very old wooden stamps and fussy cut them, adhering them with Scor-tape to keep the card flat for mailing. I added 3 paper buttons with paper "thread" and a little piece of mesh on the corner with some gold stickles. There are some Wink of Stella accents on the seashells, but the photo didn't pick that up very well. The sentiment is from SNSS and was small enough to stamp right on the main panel, eliminating more layers with a sentiment panel. The dsp is from American Crafts SoHo Garden and I matted with a piece of kraft cs.
I'm also entering this over at Cards in Envy's birthday card challenge. This is an A2 card and will require no extra postage because I kept all the elements flat.
