The grass is riz, I wonder where the flowers is? LOL Every time I hear "spring has sprung" that silly saying comes to mind. I just WISH spring was here, but we're preparing for another major snowstorm later this evening, so there won't be any flowers rising any time soon around here! They're already buried under the snow with more to come!
Anyhoo.........I made this card for the Mod Squad thinking of spring 2.0 challenge - which is to make a spring inspired card. I found this stamped image in my stash (Inky Antics?) and colored it with Copics. I cut it with a SB labels 18 die and matted with red. The background paper is from Authentique while the sentiment is from SNSS. Twine is from Whisker Graphics and the sentiment panel was done with hexagon and mosaic punches from SU! 3 mini brads added the finishing touch for this card.
Stay warm and I hope spring comes soon for all of us! It's been a wickedly cold and harsh winter! Thanks for stopping by!
Carol
That is one of the cutest hound dogs I have seen in awhile. Colored perfectly too. Super fun card.
ReplyDeleteAs for the snow, Cherokee is out back doing a sun dance. Don't ask. I have no Idea what a sun dance is. It hasn't worked yet.
I've never heard that quote before. But, it's a funny one.
ReplyDeleteYour little pup is so cute and so is your card.
My daffodils have finally opened. It will be 71 today and 38 tomorrow and possibly an ice event. WHAT????????? I hate to hear you're getting more snow. This winter goes on and on and.........
Not familiar with that image, but it sure is cute! Gonna do a glue run this morning, and then hunker down. This is adorable! Oh, and the little saying made me giggle.
ReplyDeleteSuper card Carol - I do so love the doggie :) Woof!
ReplyDeleteMy Dad used to recite a similar rhyme as follows:
Sring is sprung, the grass is riz,
I wonder where the birdies is?
The bird is on the wing, but that's absurd,
The wing is on the bird!
Happy days!
Hugs, Di xx
This is just delightful. Such a cute image.

ReplyDeleteCute card. I really like all the doggie images you have been using, and because of a cute card you previously posted...I did a search in my craft room for my lost puppy stamp, and I found it! So now, all Ihave to do is make a card with it...Keep warm Carol! (Hopefully, our snow won't be as much as they are calling for. One can always HOPE!)

I'd never heard that saying either, but it is cute. He is a darling dog and you've colored this image so nicely. I like the background paper too. You are making wonderful use of your little gems. Hooray for you. I'm trying to do the same. Enjoy the day.
ReplyDeleteAnother cutie dog image! (I know 2 people who find the best of these images, and YOU are one of them!) He's adorable, wonderfullyl colored, and just makes me smile at his expression. Love the dp, and what you do with those SU punches is astonishing. I need lessons! Great card, and I hope the storm won't be so bad as predicted. One of these days you folks are going to see some green grass! TFS & Hugs

It has been a brutal winter! There is another blizzard happening right now in the mountain pass close to our home... They have closed it up due to multiple accidents and avalanches and falling trees. Good grief! But spring has sprung on this delightful card, Carol. Darling image and so sweetly colored. Thanks for the smile on this cold night.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable spring card. I haven't heard that spring is sprung saying in a coon's age (like a very elderly coon). I always heard it as I wonder where the birdies iz? Geographically differences perhaps?
ReplyDeleteOMGosh that hound is just to cute! Love the SB's you used and love the papers too. Hugs
