The Mod Squad challenge this week is "ColorfuLEE Yours" and that's because Lee has given us the challenge of using browns and reds together. I used a Northwoods stamp and colored it with Early Espresso ink, and matted with red. The banner strips were done with SU red & early espresso cardstock, dsp, and DCWV dsp. I hand cut assorted widths and lengths of the banners and added some red bling from Pizzazz Aplenty. The bird was stamped on red cardstock and hand-cut, while I added some subtle green color to the stems.
This card is also headed for the Snippets Playground #117 since the banners were all done with leftovers.

I am loving this card Carol, so striking! The color combo is fabulous and I love that you stamped the cardinal on red paper and cut it out. Really stands out there! Mary would love this card as she loves cardinals! lol Hugs
ReplyDeleteMary DOES love this card! Very much so!!!! First, anything Nwoods gets my eye. If it has a cardinal on it, well...it just sneaks into my basket. I like the CAS treatment you did on the stamp, as it shows off that beautiful bird wonderfully. Also loved the banner trim that you added for splash. It's perfect. Well done!!! TFS & Hugs
