OWH Sketch Challenge #211
In spite of another round of S.N.O.W. heading our way later today, I'm trying to get into "spring" mode by making some early Easter Cards. I chose this pretty pistachio pudding color from SU! to make this card. I used a SNSS image and sentiment, along with a Cuttlebug Decorative Tiles ef and SB circle and scalloped circle dies. I purposely cut the sentiment banner ends on the wonky side, just to switch things up a bit from the usual perfectly pointed ends. The image was colored with Copics. This is for the OWH sketch #211.
I sure hope the rest of the folks in PA are powered up by the end of the day! We went for a drive yesterday and some areas look almost war-torn with downed trees, limbs and poles! There are still thousands living near to us who are without electricity or heat! We were so fortunate and extremely grateful to have escaped major damage in that horrible ice storm.
Make it a great day and thanks for stopping by!

That's such a sweet bunny, Carol. I love the pretty green you've used on your card. It's really looking like Spring (on cards I'm seeing this morning).
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it doesn't seem like Spring to anyone, though. That's terrible about all the damage folks have. What a terrible winter! May it soon be gone.
That Pistachio Pudding is a very pretty color. You have brought a little piece of spring into our lives with the darling card. I love both the image and sentiment on this card. Great coloring and sky work. Enjoy the rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little bunny! I love the embossing and the way you cut the sentiment banner is so different and fun. Great card for Easter or just spring!
ReplyDeleteMore snow? Groan!!!! Just about the time everything is back to normal, you get another downfall! Stay warm and safe - and hope all the area has power restored quick!

My favorite holiday of the year. A cute bunny card to celebrate with. CAS is best. Love it!

Sweet card. Definitely love the color and everything else! Great job!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card! Thanks for sharing on the sketch challenge!
ReplyDeleteCarol, what an adorable and charming card. Love the soft spring color, and the embossing folder you chose. Perfect for that background paper. Thanks for playing!
ReplyDeleteSo cute and sweet, Carol. I love that embossing folder with the bunny... looks like a basket weave.
ReplyDeleteSweet seems to be just the right word to describe this card and that little bunny, Love the embossing, the layers, and the sentiment treatment. On another note, glad to hear all is well with you, but sorry to hear about your neighbors. It's sure been a winter for the record books. Stay warm and take care.
ReplyDeleteI like your points off cut like that. It almost looks twisted. Love the cute bunny. We don't have any of the white stuff here just constant rain and high winds. The world is completely topsy turvy with its weather patterns right now. Stay safe and warm. hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and springy card. I just love the embossing on the white panel. Your coloring is simply lovely. Sorry about more snow your way. We just got our first real dose of snow here in Washington last night and my kids are just having a blast since it's already starting to melt away.
ReplyDeleteThat little bunny gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Love that color green and your flag banner ads another element of cuteness to your card. We are having some ice right now in the Philly area. Some folks still out of power. We were blessed not to have lost electric. Keep warm.
ReplyDeleteI love the sort colors you used with this little bunny, well done!

Love your card! That bunny is so sweet!!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that Easter cards need to be made soon, if only for the reason that they aren't hearts. I like your sweet little bunny card.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet. I love the wonky banners...that was a brilliant idea!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card! I love the color of that SU paper and the added embossing. And, you're right...time to move on to Easter cards! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSweet card...I really like seeing this cute spring card...I need it right now...it is a reminder to me that inspite of all the cold and the snow on the ground...spring will eventually be here...
ReplyDeleteSweet little bunny, love the shading & highlite that you've got going. This pistachio green is so delicate...gonna have to check on that one. Your EF border made a great 'fence look' for Mr. Bunny & your on-purpose 'wonky' banner is cute. A great added detail. TFS
