OWH Midweek Throwdown

These cards were made for OWH and have already been sent in, but I never posted them, so I'll enter them in this week's OWH Midweek Throwdown which is to use the color teal or turquoise. All the papers (except for the card base) are from an Authentique paper pad called "Summer Seasons." Each card is slightly different with small details. For this one I used the SU! arrows ef, and added some punched stars done with a SU! mini punch. The sentiment is from SNSS, and the circle elements were done with Spellbinder dies. I'm using my favorite OWH sketch #123 for both cards.

For this version I used a SU! square lattice ef to emboss the horizontal panel, and eliminated one layer from the sentiment panel. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and both card bases were made from a sheet of Bazzill card stock.

Thanks for stopping by today and I wish you a wonderful Wednesday!

Carol

  2. These are perfect for this challenge. They will be very much appreciate by our heroes. Love that chevron paper as well as the textured paper card base. Have great day. Is it snowing there? We are getting some this afternoon but not too much. I guess a bigger storm is predicted for next Monday. Oh Happy Days, huh?

  3. You can't go wrong with blue and yellow. These cards are just fabulous. I like the texture on the one layer and then the movement of the chevron piece. Very nice!

  7. hi Carol, love both of your cards. The yellow is a perfect complement to the teal colors of your cardstock. The sketch you used is one of my favorites as well. Great cards for this week's challenge!
