Easter Fun

With more heavy snow on the way here tonight (10-14") I've been trying to take my mind off of it all by making spring and Easter cards. I found this fun digi image in my files that was made by ScrapHappyPaperCrafter and decided it was time to make a card with it. I colored the image with Copics, and added some pretty yellow & blue snippets of dsp and ribbons from my stash. The lace ribbon was the last tiny piece I had left, and I'm proud for having found the perfect use for such a small snippet that I just couldn't bear to throw away! The little bow at the top was recycled from a failed card so I just glued it down with some strong tacky stuff and made a tiny tab with the remaining piece. The yellow ribbon tab and pearls are from Pizzazz Aplenty. The base card stock is by Bazzill and all the mats were made with So Saffron from SU!

I'm entering this into the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge #236 which has a twist this week to use pearls and lace.

I'm also entering this into the OWH midweek throwdown which is to make a "punny card", as well as the Snippets Playground #111 since I used all left-overs to put this card together.

Take care if you're in the line of fire for this big snowstorm hitting the eastern seaboard. If I don't come around for a few days, you'll know we've lost power, as it's expected with heavy snow and high winds. Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Carol

  3. I'm still laughing now. I, too, am very proud of you for using up such small pieces of ribbon and lace as well as the fact that you recycled that bow. YAY for you. It is definitely time for Spring type cards just to lift our spirits. We are in for some snow, but the amounts just keep changing b the hour. I will keep my fingers crossed for you to get not too much in your area. Stay warm and dry and DON"t shovel too much. Talk to you soon. Enjoy today

  4. HAHAHA....your bunnies are really in bad shape. This is just too funny. I love it! I think we're all loving the Easter and spring cards now, especially ones that are so funny.

Our snow starts later today. I'm so happy to get to see it come down. Usually, it happens here in the night. But, I am feeling very sorry for all of you having so much. Take care my friend and I'm wishing for the best for you and all involved in this, yet again, terrible weather.

  26. Well, I was just checking on you this evening to see if you had a post today. So am guessing your power is out. Hoping that you're keeping warm AND safe with any heat methods. ROFL at this cutie. You have the most delightful digi-s, and loved the layout. The yellow dp was so pretty with the blues, and your flower power trim was so pretty. Take care.
