Here's my entry for the OWH midweek throwdown to make an Easter card. I used a pre-colored Melonheadz digi image for this, adding some Studio Calico dsp to match. I matted with some retired Green Galore cardstock, and layered a pre-printed digi circle sentiment, adding a button brad to the center. I did some faux stitching around the edges with a fine black marker. I liked the way this turned out so I made a 2nd card with different paper....
Here's my card for the OWH sketch challenge #208. I used all papers from Authentique "summer" collection, adding a Casual Friday's sentiment from their Calm & Gentle stamp set. The butterflies were done with a Punch-a-Bunch and I added some yellow and aqua gemstone stickers I've been trying to use up. The scalloped border was done with a SNSS die, while the circles were done with SB circle dies.
That's going to do it for me today. It will be a football kind of afternoon here at our house. I rarely watch it, but the Peyton Manning/Tom Brady showdown should be a game worth watching.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Carol
Your little bunny card is too cute. Fun image and I like how you did that sentiment. I have just been checking out Easter cards this morning.
ReplyDeleteYour next card is so cheerful in those wonderful colors. Love it!
I really like all of these, but the colors in your last card are just stunning. My Mojo has taken a short vacation but hopefully I can play along with these challenges this week. It should be a very good football game. It's tough for me because I should be for Pat but I really like Payton so it will be hard for me to choose. Good luck to all, I guess.
ReplyDeleteAll of these are wonderful! Love the bunny and that carrot - and the "stitching"!! Your last card makes me wish Spring was already here - but guess it'll get here soon enough and then on into the scorching summer!
ReplyDeleteOf course it's a football kind of day here too. Hope that game's not a blow-out either way. I even have the pop corn ready! LOL!!

I love the added touch of butterflies to the sketch card and the yellow and blue colors are yummy! I will be watching the games today too unless they're so lopsided that I leave to make cards!
ReplyDeleteLove the little butterflies, they add just the right embellishment with that chevron strip paper.
