Cabin Fever!

I've got such a case of cabin fever from being indoors so long in this bitter cold & snowy weather! I decided to use 2 challenges to make a card that makes me think of spring! This is a SNSS digital image and a SNSS stamped sentiment. I sorted through my stash of left-over dsp scraps and decided these two papers looked good together, so I colored the bird to match. The snippet of yellow ric-rac felt was the last of a bobbin spool in my stash.

I used the Tuesday Morning Sketch #234 and flipped it because the bird was facing the wrong way, and then used the Shopping our Stash #136 which is to create an "outdoors-y themed card" since so many of us are suffering from cabin fever this winter.

This card was made a while ago, but never posted, so I'm entering this into the OWH midweek throwdown to make cards for kids. It's a Dustin Pike pre-colored image and I used a scrap of BG dsp for the lower panel, adding a clip, gingham ribbon, and a sentiment done with circle punches. Quick, easy and so fast to produce in multiples for the kiddos.

We got another dusting of snow overnight, so I may not get out of the house until April at this rate! LOL I've been making quite a stash of cards while I've been cooped up, so that's a good thing :)

Have a snuggly warm day today and thanks for stopping by!

Carol

Ahhhhhhhh....a sign of Spring. Your card is a beauty and you know I like that bird. That's such pretty paper and the ric rac looks like a day of sunshine.

Your little dragon is such a cutie and the gingham ribbon so cute on your card.

Stay warm....brighter days are coming...some day. :-)

The pop of yellow you used on the bird card is wonderful. I think the temp went up a degree! The Dustin Pike image made for such a great kids card, and I love the designer paper you combined it with. They have not even salted our roads this time. Stay warm and sane, my friend.

It'll warm up for y'all at some point in time I'm sure.....hopefully!! I'd probably be having cabin fever too with all that cold weather up there.
Sometimes cabin fever is a good thing though...especially when you can have the time to make cute and pretty cards like these. Love that first one and the bird! So pretty. The second is as cute as can be. What an adorable image and the gingham ribbon is perfect for it!

Hey there! I've been lurking and enjoying all of your card shares, thought I'd pop in today and say Hi!
The yellow certainly brings thoughts of spring, despite all of the snow we're seeing. Oh and I love the monochromatic card from a few days ago - with the horse! Keep warm! ~Kathy

What? No snow on the berries??? Just Kidding. I know you are gong for the spring look but I had to tease you. This card is beautiful and has warmed my heart today. Today is one of those days that I can't get warm enough, but you may have solved that for me. Speaking of warming hearts, yo will do that to a child that received this darling card. I love the car paper and the blue and white bow. I'm sorry to see you are stuck in so much this winter, but it is good for us. More of your creations for us to see. LOL
Enjoy and stay warm.

Both cards are a breath of spring air. We have chickadees at our feeders all of the time. Cute little things and afraid of nothing.

Well, I'm happy you're staying inside off the slippery snow! You're being very productive. Send some of that productivity south! Love this cheeky little bird. That DP made me think of quilting calicos...and loved the rickrack trim too. Great coloring on the bird. Little dragon just made me smile large. He's so cute on his little truck. Perfect for the border dp theme. Keep 'em coming. They're delightful. TFS & Hugs

Oh I forgot about the Cabin Fever challenge... I wanted to make something with it since I think I actually have a cabin stamp. Well, I always have these good intentions... I love your sweet yellow bird. I'm not dealing with snow but I'll second the motion for spring to come. I like the different papers you picked to go together on that card. The cute little dino is nice too. I'm impressed you found a background paper to match him so well! Very nice idea with the ribbon and the clip.
