Here's my card for the current House Mouse #HMFMC158 challenge, which is to select something from the song "My Favorite Things" and make a card with that in mind. I took my inspiration from this line...
"Bright Copper Kettles and Warm Woolen Mittens."
I used this HM image with the mousie knitting some warm woolen items for the cold weather. Of course I had to use my favorite Echo Park Christmas dsp which has all those pretty blue & plum colors as well as those adorable mittens in the background! I added some punched snowflakes, and a snowflake border done with a MS punch. The purple & blue pearls & gemstones are from Pizzazz Aplenty, and for the final touch I added some liquid applique "snow" with some frosted stickles over the top. The sentiment was done with a wooden stamp set I bought eons ago and has no name on it.
Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead! Thanks for stopping by :)
Carol

ReplyDeleteAdorable card.
Carol, this is outstanding. How clever of you to think of this image for that song line. YAY! for you. Love that blue and plum and your coloring on these darling little mice is fabulous. I love the idea of using the Liquid Applique around the image. Those punched snowflakes as so very delicate looking, just like the real thing. Enjoy your evening.
ReplyDeleteTOO pretty and cute! Love those bright pink knitting needles too! Fantastic card Carol!

This is so cute...I have been thinking of giving my grandaughter knitting lessons for one of her presents...A car like this would be the perfect presentation for the class voucher!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my fav HM stamps (and one I never bought either!) It's perfect for your Favorite things challenge, and you've really got the Meece coloring so pretty. Loved your background papers too, & the liquid applique made great snow. I can never get that texture when I try the stuff. Great card. TFS & Hugs
