Hello Sunshine!

Today I needed a little boost of sunshine, so I'm posting this card I made with a Deedee Anderson pre-colored digi & sentiment from a set called "Hello Sunshine." All of Deedee's digital stamps are available at DianesDaydreamDesigns.  Just click the "Deedee's Digis" tab at the top to see all of her cute digital stamp sets!

This card just makes me smile with that super cute image and warm greeting! I stamped the background with a Market Street stamp in Daffodil Yellow, then sponged some billowy blue clouds behind the sun image. I printed out the sentiment and then hand-cut and sponged it before popping it up on foam tape for a little dimension. For the final touch, I went around the edge of the cloud with frosted stickles, and added yellow stickles to the sun's rays. If this card doesn't bring the recipient a smile, I don't know what will! I'm absolutely taken with those cute faces Deedee draws on her images!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a day filled with sunshine too! We held our multi-family garage sale yesterday, so I never made it to my craft room for WCMD! Tsk tsk! Bad planning :) Today I'm going to completely veg out after such an exhausting Saturday!! LOL I'm getting too old for that kind of hard work!

  1. What a super, uplifting card, Carol. I love the sunbeams and your sponging of clouds is super.

I'm sure you are exhausted...hope the garage sale was a huge success. Now, go buy some crafting goodies with your earnings. :-)

  2. This card is sweet as can be with that happy sun face looking at us. Great idea to Stickle the sun's tips and the cloud's edges. It really makes them both standout nicely. I understand how tired you must be. We are all getting too old for this kind of stuff. Try to relax and enjoy the afternoon.

  3. Your card is adorable! And thank you for the dose of sunshine, we sure aren't having any our way right now, are we?

I forgot all about your yard sale yesterday, and we were out for a ride not too far from your house, I could have stopped by. Just please don't tell me that you had craft stuff for sale, and I missed it! LOL. Lovely day for a yard sale, hope it went great for you.
