Birthday Doggy

A friend & neighbor of mine is celebrating her birthday today, and this is the card I gave her. She has the cutest little dachshund that they take on daily walks, and on the way home, they all stop by for a little front porch sitting and gabbing. I'm missing those times already now that it's getting dark much earlier.
Anyway, I found this adorable free pre-colored digi at BlackberyJelly and knew immediately what I'd be using it for. The dsp is recycled from an old project I tore apart because I wanted to re-use the paper. I added a punched flower with a brad, some matching ribbon and a sentiment, and this card was done! I just love the expression on the doggy's face and how he's holding that tiny present :)

Happy Birthday Debbie, I hope you're having a wonderful day!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

  2. Oh my gosh, that is just adorable. My next door neighbor has two dachshunds. They're so sweet.

I know what you mean about the shorter days. Hubby and I walk in the park every afternoon and instead of leaving the park about 8:30, it is now about 6:30 when we start our walk back to the car. I dread when we can't go.
