Sending Love

I've had this adorable Penny Black image in my stash of stamped images for much too long and thought it would make a great card for kids! I'm shifting my focus to make more cards for another worthy cause - cardsforhospitalizedkids. I've been making adult cards for the most part, but I want to get better at making cards for kids, so I'm digging through my stash and trying to use images I've been hoarding for much too long.
I colored this with Copics, and added Spica glitter pen accents to the hearts on the cup. The dsp and Island Indigo card stock is from SU! and I added a piece of red gingham ribbon from my stash. The tiny red hearts at the top were done with SU!'s owl punch. The sentiment is from SNSS Christmas tags set.
I'm entering this into these two challenges today:

Shopping our Stash #120 - Kids

Tuesday Morning Sketches #217

It's a gorgeous day here in PA, so the hubs & I are taking a day trip to the Lancaster area and doing a little shopping and later on some dining at a great Smorgasbord! Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

  7. Hi Carol, Just linked via Lynn when I saw her fantastic birthday card for you. (Happy Birthday, didn't know it was your day! Sorry I missed it!). I love this image. Borrowed this stamp from a buddy a few yrs back to do Valentine cards. It is still one of the sweetests, cutest images, and what a terrific use you have for it. The kids will love it too. It's so cheeky & cheerful. Bound to cheer up. TFS & Hugs
