I've been working on clearing out an overflowing stash of half-finished elements and unfinished projects for a number of weeks now, and today's card was made from those elements. I have no less than 3 boxes of stamped images (wha???) that I've stamped/collected through the years, so this is the year to use them. The image is by thestampfairy.com and was colored with Copics. I used some plaid dsp and a plaid ef for the vertical panel, so I'll be entering this card into
SpeedyFox & Friends challenge #172 which is "plaid." The "snowflakes" on the right are negatives from the SB lotus die set, and I've added some blue gemstones from Pizzazz Aplenty. Ribbon is by PTI, and the sentiment is from SNSS.
I'm also entering this into the
Snippets Playground #85 since I'm using snippets of cardstock for the snowflakes :)
I was beginning to feel like I should be on the hoarders tv show with all I've stashed away through the years, so I've decided to stop saving and start using! Now I will have lots and lots of cards to donate to several organizations this year and I still have a long way to go!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
Carol
Wowzers on the stash of images. I try to use them right away...I just hoard everything else. Cute card! tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteA very cute card, I love the colors and the pretty plaid papers. Thanks, for joining us for the Speedy Fox and Friends challenge.
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness, are you sending me vibes this morning? I pulled out one of those boxes, myself! I created the OWH sketch for the week with mine, lol! I just love this cute winter bear, Carol! I can never get enough of plaid.
ReplyDeleteCarol, This is so adorable! Maybe it's your good influence that has me doing the same thing, and Darnell too! (with her NBUS posts) I've used most of my saved 3d sheets...working on stickers...and now I want to using the 100+ images that my hubby as colored for me with his copics. All I would need to do is not sleep for the next couple of weeks and I could get caught up. LOL. I don't want to be on the hoarders show either. Maybe we could start a club to keep encouraging one another. smile...Hope you get to enjoy the beautiful day we are having in our neck of the woods...
ReplyDeleteEven the plaid looks chilly....Good job........Lis

ReplyDeleteGreat snippets card, Carol! I'm so glad you are on the use-it bandwagon, too. You should be keeping count; I have a feeling you are going to complete an impressive number of cards by the end of the year with all that stash ready to be finalized!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a ton of images to use up! LOVE this card Carol - the adorable teddy looks like the cold is getting to him and he possibly is thinking about the 'restroom' :)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Di xx
Your little guy is so cute. Can't believe you've hoarded him. :-) The plaid is the perfect paper for this card. Now, paper is something I have that needs to be used before I buy anything else. Not likely, though. Ha
ReplyDeleteI should be following in your footsteps as I have boxes of stamped images that need to be used and I kid you not! I actually thought about throwing a bunch away then decided not too.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, love your adorable Christmas card! Such pretty colors & papers! Love it! :)
I was worried I had too many stamped and printed images but I can breathe a sigh of relief that I've not got a box full lol! Gorgeous use of snippets hugs Karen
