So Hot!

The title of this post could be for our weather, but today it's for this cool version of Simon - the dog from SimonSaysStamp.com. This card is for the OWH Stars and Stamps ODBD July challenge, which generates help for OWH shipping costs when we play along. The challenge this month is "stitching." I did some faux stitching around this fun image. The sparkly jacket and matching hat were paper pieced and the dog was fussy cut and popped up on dimensionals. I added a few geo sparkler stickers for a little extra "bling". I guess I turned Simon into Samantha with all the pink and sparkle - oops! The paper snippets were leftovers from an Echo Park paper pad and the ribbon is from Pizzazz Aplenty. I'm entering this card into Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground #80 too.

Stay cool and have yourself a find Monday! Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Carol

  2. Well, isn't he/she just "hot" in her hat and jacket. Great faux stitching and I love the sentiment piece. Your geo stickers are ideal for this one. Stay cool if you can. It is just terrible here. It's all I can do to stay outside long enough to water the gardens in the mornings.

  3. Really cute, Carol, and I see that you are doing some fussy cutting too! My hands actually hurt from all the cutting I have been doing, but I still enjoy it!

  7. Oh dear Carol - so Simon might have an identity crisis huh? Brilliant card - love the stitching round the image, it really does make it 'pop'. Terrific snippets you used too - and it's very hot in the Playground right now!
