Last Day of School

It's the last day of school here in my area, and a neighbor asked me if I'd make a couple thank you cards for 2 school bus drivers. One was for a lady who drove bus #44 and the other was for a gentleman. I googled "school bus" and found these 2 colored pictures I printed for the cards. For this one, I added some red gems from Pizzazz Aplenty for the stop lights on the bus, and did my favorite hexagon background in yellow. The sentiment is by Hero Arts, and I added 4 plus 4 blue gemstones (also from Pizzazz Aplenty) indicating the number 44 again.

This image cracked me up! Mamma squirrel is waiting with her "baby" for the school bus to come! Notice the baby is wearing a backpack and carrying a little book! LOL Too funny :) I used a SB  kickin' rubber embossing folder which would represent this bus driver working in snow, rain, and all kinds of weather. The sentiment was done with a MFP stamp and a tab punch from SU! I used a green snippet of left-over green cardstock for this, so I'm entering it into Pixie's Crafty's Snippets Playground #75.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  1. You've made some great cards for school bus drivers, Carol. Love them both. Good job personalizing with the #44. The squirrel with the backpack is just too, too cute. I'm sure they will love these cards.

  2. The people who are bus drivers in your neighborhood are very lucky. I don't think many bus drivers get this much recognition for their driving responsibilities. These two cards are just perfect, but I have to say I'm still laughing over this squirrel picture. Your hexagon all with the #44 in a hexagon and the gem stones are the perfect touches for this one. A wonderful job on both,my friend.

  3. Those drivers are going to be so over-the-moon with these cards, Carol! They will be treasured. They are both awesome, but I will admit that I spit a little bit on my monitor when a guffaw escaped my dainty lips over those silly squirrels!!
