A Trio of Challenges

Here's another card I made for Maddy that will be going into the mail tomorrow. Simon Says Stamp is hosting this campaign to send lots of love to a young girl who really needs your love and support. The link closes in 4 days, so I hope you'll find it in your heart to send Maddy a card soon! You can learn about Maddy & link your card here.
I found this scrap of lavender card stock and embossed it with a SB So Trendy ef, and added a punched border (MS arch lattice punch) from another green strip of cardstock.  Lastly I added some flowers, brads, and bling. The sentiment is by CASual Fridays and was done in Memento Grape Jelly ink. Since I used snippets, I'm also entering this into Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground #78.

Here's a card I made for a new monthly challenge I'm entering called "Rudolph Day" and the challenge is to create a festive Christmas card. I used a pre-colored digi image by Laurie Furnell and cut it with a SB labels 18, adding some retired SU! ribbon and a SNSS sentiment. The blue card stock is from PTI and was embossed with a CB snowflake ef.

Last but not least is a card for this week's OWH Stars & Stamps midweek throwdown challenge. This week we're to create a clean and simple (CAS) card with some texture. The embossed heart was done with a small ef on white, layered on red & black cardstock and that's pretty much it! The sentiment is a $1 stamp I got in a Michael's bin years ago, and I just added a little red color to the heart and this card was done!

That's going to do it for me, but thanks for hanging in for the picture-heavy post! Have yourself a wonderful day!

Carol

  16. Three terrific cards! Purple and green is such a great combination and I know the little girl will really be cheered by your card. I love all things Laurie Furnell, so your second card gets lots of love from me! Lastly, the third card is a perfect example of why I love your blog and always find such interesting techniques and it's why I learn so much from you. I just love the embossed heart! I have some similar small embossing squares and I couldn't figure out what to do with them. Well, now I have an example to follow and I think I'll be able to use them! I also love that Micheal's stamp too! Have a great evening - I've really enjoyed my visit!
