Here's a fun card I made while playing around with my hexagons. I printed out this fun pre-colored digi image (artist unknown) and pulled out some scraps of matching stock and paper to put this together. I embossed a few hand-cut hexes and sponged them (to look like honey) then added some die cut letters done with my Quickutz. The bottom border was done with a MS arch lattice punch, and the embossing folder is SU! honeycomb. The dsp was from my overflowing bin of scraps and the twine is from Lawn Fawn.
I'm entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp "anything goes" challenge, as well as Di's Pixie's Snippets Playground #74.
Wishing you a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
Carol
Only you would think to sponge the hexagons to look like honey. Do you rent out your brain - just for short periods of time, please? This is just darling and it would make a fabulous card for someone you haven't seen in a while. I really like that the lettering helps the punched strip to stand out. Wonderful card. It's all ready way too hot here and the central a/c went on the fritz yesterday. Hope they can get here today to fix it. Jack is working nights and has to sleep during the day. That will be hard if the a/c isn't fixed. I assume you are in for a hot spell also. I may hit the beach tomorrow. Enjoy your day.
