The mid-week throwdown over at the Stars and Stamps blog today is to make a "missing you" card. I combined their challenge with today's SC376 sketch challenge to make this card. I'm using the SNSS bluebird digi, along with the SU Doily stamp and a sentiment from So Many Sayings. I stamped the doily directly on the cardstock using Versafine ink, and added white embossing powder, then heated it. I sponged blushing bride ink all over it after it was cool. The image was colored with Copics, and I used some Ranger tumbled glass ink to sponge on the clouds and added a sentiment using the SU! word window and fancy label punches. A little pink satin ribbon and some gemstones from HA finished this card.
That's it for me today, so enjoy this gorgeous weather and have a great day!
Carol

Carol, your sponged doily is beautiful and so is the bird/flower image. Just a splendid creation.
ReplyDeleteWe're supposed to be in the 80's through next Tuesday. It's awesome, just hoping we don't have a late frost and kill tender plants later on. I can't imagine that we won't. It's warming up so early this year.
Love your card!!! Just in time for Spring!!! We are having upper 70-low 80 temps today in NE Iowa!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW! So pretty, Carol. I really thought that was a real doily! Just gorgeous.
