Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge #105

Here's my entry for the OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch challenge #105. I had pieces left over from an old Atlas map page I used to create a card earlier this week, so I used them for this sketch. First I stamped a piece of crumb cake card stock with elements from the SU! Open Sea stamp set in antique linen and faded denim inks, then sponged around the edges. The sentiment is from SU! and I sponged that while it was in the die, and edged it with a black marker. Quick and easy!
Now I need to work on a few more cards so I can get them mailed to OWH soon as there is a real need for them right now!
Have a great Sunday, and if you're a football fan, I hope your team wins!
As for me, I'm patiently waiting for NASCAR to resume next month :)

  1. Carol, what a fabulous card. The sentiment and the maps go so well together. Wonderful idea using the maps and that shade of blue in your map pieces pairs well with the crumb cake. I'm with you, waiting till next month for NASCAR.

  4. Hi Carol! I've been doing some sponging and inking in my Spellbinders too, all because of you and how much I like how your cards come out with that technique. Love your card (actually, cards - all of them) and thanks for inspiring me to go off in different directions.

...NASCAR is coming soon! I'm excited because I now have a TV in my kitchen....so on Sundays when I'm in there cooking dinner or getting stuff ready for lunches for the week, I can have the race on in the background. :)
