I made this card for 2 challenges I'm playing along with for the first time. I used the sketch from the CPS148, and then went with the clean and simple challenge 48 on SCS to create a Valentine card. Again, I'm really growing fond of the clean look with lots of white space. Another thing I love about this kind of card is that there is no extra postage required to mail them! I stamped both of the polka dot punches hearts with versamark on white and black cardstocks, and embossed each with opposite colors. I don't have a heart punch (GASP!!!) so I cut them out by hand. I embossed the white panel with the swiss dots ef, layered it with black, added some very old Heidi Swapp ribbon and popped the hearts up on foam tape. I know it isn't your traditional Valentine red color, but I'm thinking someone will like this look as much as I do.Thanks for stopping by and have yourselves a wonderful Monday!

ReplyDeleteI love this! The clean look with lots of white always gives such an elegant feel to a card, but is SO HARD for me to do... I have the hardest time just leaving it alone! lol This is beautiful.
