Last month Wendy posted this card on her blog and I knew I wanted to try making one of my own, so here it is.I used some double-sided American Crafts SoHo Garden dsp along with some pale pink and old olive cardstock. I used a SU! sincere salutations sentiment, and then punched 2 types of flowers, layering them and dotting them with tiny pink gemstones and a little twine bow. The medallion was made with SB circle and scalloped circle dies.
Here's what the card looks like opened. I die-cut some Darice daisies and added some more tiny punched flowers, and left room inside for writing a message.
If you want to make one of these pretty double fold gate cards, Wendy shared Dawn's link for the tutorial. Thanks Wendy and Dawn! They fit into an A2 envelope too, so that's always a plus for me!
I'm sharing this with the Little Red Wagon challenge #356 which is "Happy Birthday." One can never have too many birthday cards in their personal stash, right?
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is one of your best yet!

This looks great in that different style. One of my very favorite papers. I thought you were not creating and here blogger is being a jerk!
I kind of sort of want to try this style of card now. Your example is fabulous and Wendy's is very serene. I like your bright happy colors. I think it kind of has an oriental feel to it.
This is gorgeous, love the colours and the inside flower. I saw this shaped card in a mag and thought I should give it a try, yours makes me want to have a go.
