Whatcha Doin'?

I had a sample pack of 3" square dsp's for several years and never quite knew what to do with them, so I cut them into 1" squares and made a background for this card. The Penny Black image was colored with Copics, then cut with my Big Shot and a Gina Marie stitched square die, and matted with turquoise cardstock. I added a die-cut sun, along with an orange center die-cut with a Poppystamps stitched Holly leaves & Berries set, then added a pre-stamped sentiment, hand cut into an arrow.

I'm sharing this card over at the Cuttlebug Mania Summerstop challenge.

Thanks for dropping by and make it a great day :)

That background paper is awesome as is that cute little snail. The coloring is perfection, and the images from PB make it so much fun!

Such a cute every day type card to send to someone for no special reason. It is always a wonderful surprise when you go to the mailbox and there is a card in there, especially when it is just to say Hello or Whatcha Doin? Great way to use those squares up. Have a great day. Hope it is cooling down in PA. We are cooling down for a couple of days and then another steamy weekend.

Beautiful patchwork background, you have used the pieces so well! It matches very well with the rest of the design! Love this cute hedgehog with the snail, too!

Another fabulous patchwork background! Love the colors together, they are so sunny you almost didn't need the stitched sun (except for, of course you did because it is way cool). Great card.

This is a great use for snippets too Carol! I love this sweet card, the image is just darling! I also love how you decided to use those 3" pieces of papers-makes for a beautiful and colorful background. I really love how you did the sentiment too, looks great as an arrow especially with this image-which is totally adorable! Hugs, Brenda
